The Welcome Centre is a great space to hold a private event and over the years users have held Christening parties, birthday parties for both adults and children and even large family meals. The Welcome Centre can hold 50 persons standing or 37 persons seated and events can take place up to midnight.

Hirers are welcome to use the facilities provided inside the Welcome Centre and contents include:

  • 3 sofas
  • Tables
  • 20 Chairs
  • 1 bathroom
  • Baby changing facility
  • Small kitchenette
  • Small utility area
  • Cups and glasses
  • Cutlery
  • Fridge
  • Water heaters for hot drinks
  • Microwave

The main room measures approx 32ft x 22ft but not all that space is usable due to the placement of furniture around the perimeter.

For private event bookings we ask for a donation of £8 per hour to book the Welcome Centre. This covers the costs of maintenance, contents such as furniture and crockery, relevant insurances and the online management system.

Welcome Centre Inside

When considering the timings for your booking, please factor in additional time for setting up and packing away. The calendar will only be made unavailable for others to book for the times you select so there could be other bookings on the same day either before or after depending on the timings of your event.

Once you have confirmed your booking and made payment online then you don’t need to do anything else. A week prior to your booking you will receive an email with access instructions and further information.
